Rebranded McAfee Software Updates
Over the coming days, ITS will be deploying an upgrade to the McAfee Antivirus software installed on Windows-based computers on St. John's campus.
In this update, the 鈥淢cAfee Agent鈥 component has been rebranded 鈥淭rellix Agent鈥, given the recent merger of McAfee's business division and former security firm FireEye to create the new company Trellix. As a result of this rebranding, clients will notice the icon in the Windows system tray changing from the traditional red McAfee shield to the new blue Trellix logo. Rebranding of the MacOS agent and other components will follow at a later date. Please see the image below for the logo changes.
